Every year Canaryville Little League celebrates Opening Day with a big parade that includes all teams, players, coaches, supporting organizations and a marching band. Players and parents are asked to gather with their team at Taylor-Lauridsen Park at 8:30 am (704 W 42nd St, Chicago, IL 60609). The players must wear their full uniforms.

The parade starts promptly at 9:00 am with a motorcade escort and will walk south on Wallace to 45th street, west to Union, south to 49th street, east to Wallace, north to 46th street, east to CLL field, proceeding the Opening Day ceremonies at Canaryville Little League Baseball Field.

The ceremony, which includes short speeches by the league president as well as other dignitaries, will last about 45 minutes. All players will be uniformly dismissed after the ceremony.

There will be 4 games played after the ceremony: one softball minors, one baseball minors, one softball majors and one baseball majors. Opening Day is also the first day for the concession stand so please stop by for a bite to eat!
