Canaryville Little League is dedicated to building character, courage and confidence in area youth by providing fun baseball and softball programs for boys and girls ages 3 – 13. Located at 45th Place and Normal Avenue, the CLL has invested in the development of Southside Chicago’s young ballplayers since 1953. As a chartered member of Little League International, our priority is to instill integrity, sportsmanship, awareness, honesty and respect through the love and tradition of baseball.
Focusing on health, safety, diversity, education, environment, and beautification, CLL continues to improve. In the last decade alone, CLL has installed an electric scoreboard, resurfaced the field, installed new fencing, and built a new home dugout, press box and concession stand. The dugout, press box and concession stand were all made possible by a previous grant from the Cubs Charities Diamond Project. This illustrates our ability to develop the proposed projects with the assistance so generously provided.
Canaryville Little League started as most – a dirt field and the love of the game. We still hold that love today with generations of players returning to coach, while encouraging newcomers. The dirt field continues to transform into a green field that fosters dreams, education, fitness, and inclusion. These kids deserve the best baseball field we can offer.
